Position: Program Director of the Clean Power Program, Energy Foundation China
Dr. Yichuan Lu is the Program Director of the Clean Power Program at Energy Foundation China, which aims to put China’s power sector on a clean, low-carbon trajectory. He has extensive utility experience in electrical engineering and technology management, covering a period of 14 years. His expertise in system operations, renewable development, and wind energy systems engineering comes from both the private sector and state-owned enterprises. Prior to joining the foundation in August 2017, Dr. Lu was the Executive Chief Engineer of Longyuan Power Group, the largest wind power producer in China, and the head of its Technology Center.
Dr. Lu holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Technical University Dortmund in Germany and an EMBA from China Europe International Business School.
